Van Richten’s Guide To Ravenloft is releasing just a month. And this summer, D&D Adventurers League will be jumping into Ravenloft with a brand new adventure.
“Van Richten’s Guide to Ravenloft explores not just settings for terrifying adventures but how to use horror as a genre in Dungeons & Dragons,” said Wes Schneider, lead designer of Van. Earlier RAVENLOFT adventures presumed the party was composed entirely of Outlanders who were brought in for a single session of horror. This was known as a “weekend-in-hell” adventure. Ravenloft: Mist Hunters is the next adventure for Adventures League. Wizards Of The Coast has described it as:
Ravenloft: Mist Hunters is serial storyline that will lead Adventurers League players on a journey through the mists over the course of 14 adventures, including two interactive Epic adventures. Mysteries unfold around the characters as they explore new lands and interact with their denizens; Mist Hunters places a strong emphasis on social interaction and investigation over combat.

This new adventure sounds both amazing and like it will be a horror-filled time. Now the best part is, this adventure won’t require players to level up their characters. Instead, the character will already be generated to what level the DM sets the adventure to.
